Endocrine Tumors

The endocrine system is made up of cells that produce hormones. When endocrine cells grow abnormally, they form growths of tissue (tumors) that are either benign (not cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Because endocrine tumors produce hormones, they can potentially affect vital functions such as insulin production or speed of digestion.
